Iran threatens the US with expanding the conflict

The Iranian military is threatening the USA with an expansion of the fighting. If the airstrikes continue, Tehran will use new military strategies in the region.

Iran’s army spokesman Amir Akraminia threatens to expand the war zone if the USA should continue their air strikes. Referring to attacks by the Yemeni Houthi militia on ships in the Red Sea, the spokesman said, according to the Mehr news agency, that warnings had already come true on site.

According to Akraminia, the war zone already extends from Jordan all the way to the states bordering the Persian Gulf. If the US military continues the air strikes, the area will expand even further. The Iranian military has prepared appropriate strategies.

According to the spokesman, the military is also prepared for other scenarios. He named a large-scale air operation and a ground offensive by the US military.

According to Akraminia, he has Iran temporarily suspended its attacks on Arab allies of the US because US forces had stopped their airstrikes over the past two nights. The spokesman justified the move by saying that his own military action was aimed exclusively at retaliation.
