The agreement between Washington and Tehran is official: a corresponding document has been signed by representatives of both sides, it is said.
Before the official signing of a framework agreement this Friday, US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have already digitally signed the corresponding document. A senior US government official said this. On the Iranian side, the President of Parliament and chief negotiator Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf signed. There was initially no confirmation of this from Tehran.
After weeks of negotiations, the USA and Iran agreed on the agreement on Sunday, the content of which is not yet known. Many people viewed the deal as an interim step in a diplomatic process that still has many hurdles. Details of the deal should be released within 24 to 48 hours, another U.S. government official said. “Real technical discussions” will follow later in the week. US Vice President JD Vance will lead the negotiations for the United States.
US President Donald Trump also confirmed that the agreement with Iran had been signed by both sides. The Strait of Hormuz is open and will be fully open on Friday. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. The entire text of the agreement with Iran will be published on Friday, Trump said.
