Pakistan: Iran deal expected within 24 hours

Pakistan is mediating between the warring parties USA and Iran. Now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is promising that an agreement to end the war could be ready very soon.

In the war between the USA and Iran, the mediator Pakistan continues to fuel hopes that an agreement will be concluded soon. “As finalization is expected in the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace agreement immediately thereafter,” wrote Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the online platform X. They are also preparing for technical level talks next week.

“We are closer to a peace agreement than ever before,” said Sharif. “We are confident that this historic peace agreement will provide a solid foundation for lasting peace.”
