SpaceX shared the details of the test flight of the Starship rocket launched from the Starbase facility in Texas.
Accordingly, the third version of Starship, carrying 20 Starlink test satellites, was launched yesterday at 17.30 local time.
It was stated that Starship experienced some engine failures during the cruise, and fell into the Indian Ocean, where it landed, and caught fire “unexpectedly”.
US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Director Jared Isaacman stated that Starship is now one step closer to the Moon.
Starship was destroyed during the 7th test flight on January 16, 2025, the 8th on March 7, 2025, and the 9th test flight on May 28, 2025. The 10th test flight of the Starship rocket was postponed due to cloudy weather in Texas, then was completed successfully, and the 11th test flight was successfully completed on October 13, 2025.
