The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul lost 0.80 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 13,899.53 points.

BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, dropped to 13,899.53 points as of 13.00, with a decrease of 112.48 points and 0.80 percent compared to the previous closing.

The total transaction volume was 72.4 billion lira. The banking index lost 1 percent and the holding index lost 0.98 percent.

Among the sector indices, the biggest increase was trade with 0.35 percent, and the biggest loss was financial leasing factoring with 3.61 percent.

Global markets are following a mixed course as the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data, which continues to be announced around the world, remains below expectations, despite the relative decrease in tensions in the Middle East.

Analysts stated that an intense data agenda, especially the manufacturing industry, service sector and composite PMI data, will be followed in the USA for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 13,800 and 13,700 points in the BIST 100 index are support, and 14,000 and 14,100 points are resistance.
