Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published paid employee statistics for March.
Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-service sectors, which was 15 million 320 thousand 850 people in March 2025, increased by 1.8 percent to 15 million 601 thousand 250 people in March.
In the month in question, the number of paid employees decreased by 2.7 percent on an annual basis in the industrial sector, increased by 6.4 percent in the construction sector and 3.5 percent in the trade-service sector.
MONTHLY CHANGE
The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 0.1 percent in March compared to February.
During this period, while the number of paid employees decreased by 0.3 percent in the industrial sector, it increased by 0.9 percent in the construction sector and 0.2 percent in the trade-service sector.
