India hosts the foreign ministers of the countries in the 11-member organization established under the leadership of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) within the scope of the two-day meeting. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese Ambassador to New Delhi Shu Feyhong are present at the meeting. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in Beijing due to the visit of US President Donald Trump.
The BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting, hosted by India, will be held on 14-15 May. At the meeting, which will be chaired by Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar, officials will exchange ideas on global and regional developments.
