Mehmet Arabacı, Deputy Chairman of the Revenue Administration, was appointed as the President of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
According to the appointment decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Arabacı was appointed as the President of TÜİK.
Born in Bordeaux, France in 1977, Arabacı graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Finance in 2000.
Arabacı, who passed the assistant accountant exam after graduation, worked as an assistant accountant specialist between 2001-2004 and as an accountant specialist between 2004-2007.
Arabacı was appointed as the Human Resources Group Head at the Revenue Administration in 2007. Arabacı, who served in this position until 2009, completed his master’s degree in economics at the University of Illinois in the United States in 2009-2011.
HE ALSO SERVED IN THE TAX AUDIT BOARD
Arabacı, who also conducted research, analysis and internship on “Transfer Pricing in Commercial Banks”, was appointed as the Ankara Disguised Capital, Transfer Pricing and Foreign Earnings Group Head of the Tax Inspection Board in 2011, and as the Vice President of the Tax Inspection Board in 2012.
Arabacı, who served as the Deputy Chairman of the Tax Inspection Board between 2012 and 2014, was appointed as the Head of Revenue Administration Department of the Revenue Administration in 2014.
Arabacı was appointed as Deputy Head of Revenue Administration in 2019, after serving as the Head of Revenue Management Department of the Revenue Administration between 2014 and 2019. Arabacı was serving as Deputy Chairman of the Revenue Administration.
On the other hand, İbrahim Ömer Gönül was appointed as the President of the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Board, and Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih was appointed as a member.
CMB CHAIRMAN ALSO CHANGED
Deputy Chairman Mahmut Sütcü was appointed as the Chairman of the Capital Markets Board (CMB), Ahmet Aksu was appointed as the vice chairman, and Yusuf Sünbül was appointed as the member.
Hızır AslıYüksel was appointed as the President of the Forensic Medicine Institute.
With the decision, Mehmet Avcı, General Director of Procurement Services of the Ministry of National Defense, was dismissed and replaced by Diyarbakır Çınar District Governor Zikrullah Erdoğan.
Yusuf Emre Akgündüz was appointed as CBRT Vice President and Ahmet Alemdar was appointed as Vice President for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.
