BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day at 13,774.51 points with an increase of 0.62 percent.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a buying-oriented trend yesterday, closed the day at 13,689.00 points, gaining 1.12 percent in value.
At the opening today, BIST 100 index increased by 85.51 points and 0.62 percent compared to the previous closing, reaching 13,774.51 points. The banking index gained 0.90 percent and the holding index gained 0.49 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was financial leasing factoring with 1.64 percent, and the one that decreased the most was textile leather with 0.62 percent.
While the decrease in concerns in global markets that the temporary ceasefire between the USA and Iran may be broken increased the risk appetite, investors’ focus turned to the inflation data to be announced in the USA.
US President Donald Trump stated yesterday that he is very optimistic about the temporary ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran and believes that the agreement will be implemented.
Analysts stated that industrial production in the country and inflation in the USA abroad, the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index, durable goods orders and the federal budget balance will be monitored today, and noted that technically, 13,800 and 13,900 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 13,700 and 13,600 points are support.
