The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul lost 0.50 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 12,986.85 points.

BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, fell to 12,986.85 points as of 13:00, a decrease of 64.84 points and 0.50 percent compared to the previous closing.

The total transaction volume was 49.2 billion lira. The banking index lost 0.33 percent and the holding index lost 0.78 percent.

In the sector indices, the highest increase was tourism with 1.27 percent, and the highest decrease was trade with 1.60 percent.

While global markets are mixed with conflicting statements from the parties regarding the war between the USA-Israel and Iran, all eyes are on the non-agricultural employment data in the employment report to be announced in the USA today.

According to macroeconomic data announced domestically, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.94 percent and the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) increased by 2.3 percent on a monthly basis in March. Annual inflation was recorded as 30.87 percent in consumer prices and 28.08 percent in domestic producer prices.

Analysts stated that an intense data agenda, especially employment data in the USA, will be followed for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 12,800 and 12,700 points in the BIST 100 index are support, while 13,100 and 13,200 points are resistance.
