According to the figures announced by TÜİK, industrial production decreased by 2.8 percent on a monthly basis and 1.8 percent on an annual basis in January.
ANNUAL INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION
When the subsectors of the industry (with a reference year of 2021 = 100) are examined, in January 2026, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 2.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry sector index decreased by 2.5 percent, and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 5.6 percent.
MONTHLY PRODUCTION
When the subsectors of the industry are examined, in January 2026, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 2.1 percent compared to the previous month, the manufacturing industry sector index decreased by 3.4 percent and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 1.8 percent.
