The French police searched the party headquarters of the right -wing populist racial emile nationally (marginal) on Wednesday. There is suspicion of fraud and violations of regulations for the campaign financing, the public prosecutor said. Offices of RN top officials were also searched, party leader Jordan Bardella said on the online platform X. Bardella spoke of a “new chician campaign”.
The Parisian public prosecutor said that the searches were related to investigations that had been initiated last week. This is about financing the election campaign for the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2022 and the European elections 2024. There are suspected information on fraud, money laundering and forgery of documents. So far, no one has been charged with the procedure, and the investigation continued. Searches were also available in the business premises of several non -named companies and their managers.
Le Pen wants to contest her judgment of March that it can still run around 2027. However, Bardella said that he would compete if she was prevented from doing so. The RN has been moderate for some time and has risen to the largest single faction in the French National Assembly. The party is always faced with allegations of financial irregularities.
