Within the scope of the regulations implemented by the Ministry of Commerce in 2024, the actions that disrupt the commercial activities of one of the parties in commercial relations between the producer, supplier and retail enterprises were defined and banned as “unfair commercial practice”.
The Ministry, small -scale manufacturers of raw milk purchasing 4 companies fined 58.3 million pounds.
The statement made by the Ministry of Commerce is as follows;
“In line with the various complaints that have been subjected to unjust commercial practices of producers and suppliers in the dairy sector and delays in the payment periods, the Ministry of Commerce has initiated audit activities in order to protect small -scale milk producers and suppliers.
As a result of the inspections, a total of 58.3 million Turkish Liras administrative fines were applied to 4 large -scale companies that purchase raw milk from small -scale manufacturers and suppliers.
The Ministry of Commerce continues its efforts to prevent any unfair commercial implementation and delays in payment times that will adversely affect the commercial activities of agricultural and food producers. “
