Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın stated that they want a 15 percent increase in the salaries of civil servants and the pensions of retired civil servants for the first 6 months of 2025, as well as a 10 percent welfare share.

Memur-Sen members gathered in front of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance to demand the full implementation of the provisions of the collective agreement and a welfare share.

In his statement here, Yalçın said that the price increase in the mandatory expenses of fixed income earners such as rent, electricity, natural gas and food does not match the announced inflation.

Stating that civil servants and retired civil servants want their losses to be compensated, Yalçın said, “While Turkey is growing, getting stronger and achieving such great things, do not make our public servants the victim.” he said.

Ali Yalçın stated that they want a 15 percent increase in the salaries of civil servants and the pensions of retired civil servants for the first 6 months of 2025, as well as a 10 percent welfare share.

Stating that the tax rates of public servants should be fixed at 15 percent, Yalçın stated that the current collective bargaining law is far from providing a solution and that they want the law to be changed.

Yalçın said, “Change and transformation should not be feared, the way for a fair collective bargaining system should be paved.” he said.
