MORE THAN 100 COUNTRIES, HUNDREDS OF SYSTEMS
Military delegations and defense company representatives from more than 100 countries met at AUSA 2026. New missiles, laser weapons, unmanned ground vehicles and artificial intelligence-supported systems were introduced at the fair, which focused on the modernization of the US army. Among the prominent topics of the organization are defense against UAV attacks and mass production of air defense ammunition. AUSA is known as the fair where many of the world’s most advanced weapon systems are exhibited for the first time during the year. Some platforms and systems stand out at the fair.

NEW GENERATION MISSILES ON THE STAGE
While Anduril introduced the two-stage Steelfin air defense missile family, Lockheed Martin also announced the PAC-3 Edge interceptor developed against hypersonic threats at the fair. Steelfin is intended to be compatible with Patriot launchers and various missile systems. PAC-3 Edge, on the other hand, was designed to be able to intercept at higher altitudes and ranges with its new seeker head, advanced flight control and multi-pulse rocket engine.

DRIVERLESS PERSONNEL VEHICLE
GM Defense introduced the driverless military land vehicle prototype developed based on the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD at the fair. The vehicle, which can move autonomously with Scout AI software, is designed for ammunition and material transportation and casualty evacuation. The platform, which has a carrying capacity of approximately 3.6 tons, also includes UAV detection sensors and the Locust X3 laser defense system.

MOBILE AIR DEFENSE ON ARMORED VEHICLE
Rheinmetall displayed the Skyranger 30 air defense system integrated with the Boxer armored vehicle. Combining a 30-millimeter gun and different interceptor elements, the platform aims to protect troops on the move against UAVs and low-altitude threats. The company also exhibited its unmanned ground vehicles and autonomous logistics solutions for the first time at the fair.
