US President Donald Trump shocked the Middle East conflict with a new move: he wants to take over the Gaza Strip and develop economically. These are the reactions.

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Supports the plans of the new US President Donald Trump for the future of the Gaza Strip. “He sees another future for this piece of land that was the origin of so much terrorism,” he said after a meeting with Trump in the White House in Washington. “He has a different idea and I think she deserves our attention. It is something that could change the story.”

Sami Abu Suhria high-ranking representative of the radical-Islamic terrorist organization Hamas, said the plans: “We consider them a recipe to create chaos and tensions in the region, because people in the Gaza Strip will not allow such plans.”

The democratic US Senator Chris Murphy wrote to Trump on the short message service X: “He completely lost the mind” (original: “Hey Lost it”). “A US invasion of the Gaza Strip would lead to the death of thousands of US soldiers and to decades of wars in the Middle East. It’s like a bad, sick joke.”

The plan is also controversial within the Republicans. Senator Lindsey Graham said: “We will see what our Arab friends say.” Most of the citizens of his state would probably not be enthusiastic to send Americans to take over the Gaza Strip “. However, he initially stays open to everything.

Middle East expert Jon Alterman From the Center for Strategic and International Studies said: “Many residents of the Gaza Strip come from Palestinians who have fled from parts of today’s Israel and have never been able to return to their former hometown.” He doubts that “many would be willing to leave a destroyed Gaza Strip themselves”.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has linked normalization of his relationships with Israel to the creation of an independent Palestinian state. Riyadh will continue his relentless efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as the capital, “said that Saudi-Arab Foreign Ministry On Wednesday in the online service X. Without this requirement, Saudi Arabia will not accept diplomatic relationships with Israel.

The explanation was made after Netanyahu confidently commented on the prospects for such an agreement. “I believe that peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia is not just feasible; I think he will come about,” said Netanyahu after a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington.

So far, Saudi Arabia has not recognized Israel. Like Trump, his predecessor Joe Biden also tried for an agreement during his term in office that Saudi Arabia grants closer relationships in the security area with the United States in return for Israel’s recognition.
