TechMilliarche Elon Musk plays an important role in Trump’s government. But there are rumors that his time as a consultant could end soon.

US Vice President JD Vance has decisively rejected reports on an early end of the role of tech billionaire Elon Musk in the White House. Corresponding reports are wrong, said Vance in Fox News. Musk came to fight the huge bureaucracy. “And we said that this will take about six months, and that’s exactly what Elon has committed. But of course he will continue to be available as a consultant,” said Vance.

The billionaire, which has become immensely influenced, through the “Department of Government Efficiency” (Doge) attached to the White House through all the ministries and authorities that have since released tens of thousands of employees. Many protests in the United States are therefore directed against Musk.

Doge still has work in front of him, and this work will continue to go to Musk’s departure, said Vance and added: “Elon will remain a friend and consultant, both from me and from the president.”

The magazine “Politico” and the ABC news magazine, citing insiders, reported that President Donald Trump had indicated that Musk could soon play a lower role in his government. Trump is still satisfied with Musk’s work, “Politico” reported. Nevertheless, in the past few days, the two had agreed that it was “soon in time” for the entrepreneur to devote themselves more to his companies – and in future only to play a supportive role.

Trump had previously publicly stated that Musk wanted to return to his companies “at some point”. “He wants it,” said Trump. “I would keep it as long as I can keep it.”
