US military: attacking targets in Iran again

The US military says it has launched new attacks against the Iran started. These began at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time (7:30 p.m. local time in Tehran) and were directed against Iranian Revolutionary Guard targets in the country, the US military command Centcom, which is responsible for the region, announced on the X platform. The attacks are a response to recent attempts by the Revolutionary Guards to attack merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against US soldiers stationed in the region, it said.

On Sunday (US Eastern Time) it was announced that US forces had attacked targets in Iran for the first time in weeks. The US military command Centcom, which is responsible for the region, reported on the X platform about “limited, targeted measures” against mine-laying units of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Iran responded by shelling two US military bases in Jordan. Jordan said Iranian missiles had been intercepted.
