According to the decision of a federal judge in the US state of Pennsylvania, US President Donald Trump may apply the Alien Enemies Act from 1798 to abuse accused Venezuelan gang members in Pennsylvania. As US district judge Stephanie Haines decided, the President may declare the Venezuelan gang “Tren de Aragua” as a terrorist association and deport its members in accordance with the Alien Enemies Act. However, a period of at least 21 days must be granted so that the accused can contest their deportation.
Haines, which was appointed by Trump during his first term, is considered a supporter of the government and the interpretation of the Alien Enemies Act by this. Judges in New York, Colorado and Texas had previously decided against Trump’s application of the law to deport Venezuelans.

After the departure of US President Donald Trump to visit in the Middle East, his government gave the green light to the United Arab Emirates for a hunting sale for a billion dollars. As the US State Department announced on Monday, the sale of around $ 1.4 billion (around 1.3 billion euros) transport helicopters of type CH-47F chinook and equipment as well as components for F-16 fight jets. The sale must still be approved by the US Congress.
The proposed sale to the golf state will “support foreign policy and the national security of the United States,” said the department of the US State Department responsible for political-military matters. The United Arab Emirates (VAE) would use these funds “for search and rescue campaigns, disaster relief, humanitarian support and fight against terrorism”. It was also said that the VAE was “an important partner of the United States for political stability and economic progress in the Middle East”.
