She is said to be the daughter of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. Now a Ukrainian camera team has ambushed the 22-year-old and confronted her with the war.
On Wednesday evening, a reporter from the Ukrainian broadcaster TSN confronted the alleged illegitimate daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris. The reporter ambushed the woman after an exhibition opening in a small gallery in the 20th arrondissement, where the young woman works, according to TSN.
The 22-year-old has appeared under different names in the past. Her birth name is said to be Elizaveta Vladimirovna Kriwonogich, which according to Russian naming rules indicates a father named Vladimir. In social networks she occasionally used the names Liza Rozova and Elizaveta Rudnova.
At the beginning of the conversation, she told the reporter that she had not given permission to be filmed. The journalist replied that the people of Kiev also did not give permission for the attacks on their city. A heated exchange developed in which the reporter asked about their stance on the war.
The reporter first asked the young woman how she could live in Europe when it was portrayed as “hateful” by Russian propaganda. “Three weeks ago, your father killed my brother,” he said, according to video footage released by TSN. He then asked her if she supported her alleged father’s politics. She replied, “What does this have to do with me?”
The journalist repeatedly asked her to speak out and said she could call her father “so that at least today he would stop shelling Ukraine.” He added that it could “come to Kiev and function there better than any Patriot air defense system, or go to Pokrovsk now.” She replied, “Can you imagine how I could get there now?”
He then offered to pay for a ticket to Ukraine. However, he himself pointed out that due to the war, regular flights to Ukraine were not possible.
When asked further, she said: “I’m really sorry, but I can’t answer your question. I think I’ve already spoken to you enough.” Finally she explained: “Unfortunately, I cannot help you in any way. I am very sorry. (…) I am really sorry about how things are turning out. Unfortunately, I am not responsible for this situation. I wish you a nice evening. Goodbye.”
