As Ramadan Feast approaches, demand for bus and flight tickets increased. However, aircraft and bus ticket prices flew with the hikes made before the feast.
According to the news in the newspaper of Türkiye, for example on March 17 by bus from Istanbul to Trabzon to 1,100 pounds, while on March 29 this price goes to 1,800 pounds. This means a hike up to 70 percent in 1 week.
The situation in flight tickets is much more grave. On March 17, there are 1,300 pounds from Istanbul to Adana, while the ticket price is 4,869 pounds immediately after a week. The raise here reaches 350 percent.

Passengers react to the situation, normal for companies. The regional manager of the big bus company operating in Istanbul Esenler Bus Station said that prices have increased, but this should not be perceived as an opportunity.
