According to the information compiled from the “2030 Industry and Technology Strategy” of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the increase in the number of devices and systems connected to the spread of automation in industrial production brings cyber threat risks.

In this context, the dissemination of cyber security practices in the industrial sector is important to protect industrial automation systems against possible attacks and to secure sensitive data. Cyber security solutions to be developed with domestic technologies are expected to increase the security of Türkiye’s digital infrastructure and make it a strong player in the digital transformation process.

Regional positioning and timing system will be commissioned with the vision of Türkiye’s strategic infrastructures to reduce external dependence and strengthen its existence in space. This system will offer Türkiye’s sensitive location, navigation and timing data through its own satellites as an alternative to global systems such as GPS.

The system will undertake critical functions in many areas, from the security of military operations to the uninterruptedness of civil communication networks, from smart transportation systems to sensitive agricultural practices.

In this respect, pre -feasibility study, atomic clock development, increasing the durability of existing systems, satellite -based improvement system studies and ultimately regional satellite positioning system is expected to take steps.

In addition, space qualification tests of the prototype of the Rubidium atomic clock, which is produced in cooperation with the TUBITAK National Metrology Institute and Türkiye Space Agency, continue. The cube satellite design was completed and the production and supply of subsystems was reached. These studies are important for the development of domestic and national atomic watches to be used in future satellites and to contribute more to private sector initiatives.

Domestic map and navigation application will be developed

On the other hand, it is important for the development of digital platforms such as national navigation system, search engine and social media, strengthening technological independence, reducing external dependence, strengthening national data safety and remaining in the country through these platforms. With the implementation of these platforms by domestic entrepreneurs, it is planned to reduce dependence on foreign areas.

In this context, a local map and navigation application will be developed in the international medium that will meet the needs in Türkiye -specific transportation, urban planning and cultural fields and also contribute to the digital transformation process.

In line with the priorities of the establishment of digital independence and security, the protection of local users, the establishment of equal competition and the guarantee of the infrastructure, it is aimed to develop a new language model and new generation of artificial intelligence -supported applications in line with their priorities.
