Halil İbrahim Balcı, President of the Federation of Bakers of Türkiye, shared the prices determined for Ramadan pitta this year.
Accordingly, last year, 340 grams of 20 TL sold for the new price of the pide was 30 TL. In addition, the gramge of the pide was increased to 370 grams.
On the other hand, 250 grams of Pide in Istanbul and Ankara in Ramadan was sold for 15 TL last year.
This year, this figure was determined as 20 TL for 250 grams of Ramadan pita. Thus, a 35 percent hike came.
Referring to the price of the flour used in Ramadan pita, Balcı said that there was a 45 percent increase in labor fees and a 40 percent increase in operating expenses.
Balcı pointed out that they are facing the price increase below the current increase, “2024 inflation rate is around 45 percent. Therefore, the price increase in pita prices is under inflation. In doing so, we had to consider the purchasing power of our people. In order to keep pita prices at the most reasonable level, our institutions and tradesmen showed the necessary devotion. It was determined in this way to get it “.
