The two countries that take steps to strengthen their relations in every field are implementing their projects aimed at increasing their joint work in space and aviation sectors as well as science and technology.

Starting in 2022 with Teknofest Baku and in 2023, the 74th International Space Congress (IAC) in Baku announced that Türkiye will be hosting for 2026.

Within the scope of the cooperation between the Azerbaijani Space Agency (Azercosmos) and Gökmen Space Aviation Training Center (GUHEM), the delegation of 26 young people at 6 universities in Azerbaijan toured the leading companies of defense and technology in Bursa, Ankara and Istanbul.

Astronauts Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Cihangir Atasever, who started on March 14 and continued to date, also received a 2 -day training in GUHEM within the scope of cooperation.

Azercosmos Science and Higher Education and State Agency Higher Education Institutions and Labor Department Director Assoc. Dr. Elza Samedli, the main purpose of the project is to examine the best institutions in the field of technology, he said.

Stating that they have the opportunity to see the computer, software and artificial intelligence studies here, Samedli also reported that they discussed Turkish institutions to make long -term internship programs.

Samedli pointed out that this was a “foundation program” to establish cooperation between the two countries in the future, and that they have experienced the promise of the two countries that the two countries are always brothers.

Samedli emphasized that they felt this brotherhood closely during the Karabakh War.

“We have 3 children who were martyred in the team. They were very touched as they saw the defense industry products in Türkiye. We really felt that we were a single nation. One of our sons who was martyred to me after the presentations in ASELSAN and HAVELSAN, ‘We would have had such a magnificent technology since the beginning.’ No one wants to get a war, but our students are really proud. Samedli reminded that he was in the first group of students from Azerbaijan for education 30 years ago, and now he is proud to bring his students here and the more strict the cooperation with Turkey would benefit from both countries.

Imran Muhtarov, Director of Azercosmos Kosmic Academy, said that the brotherhood relations between the two countries are strengthened by diversifying.

Metlep Samidli, son of Major General Babek Samidli, who was martyred during the Karabakh War, said that they had experienced experience in defense and space in Türkiye for a few days. Samedli pointed out that the defense industry in Türkiye is developed and said that they also understood when they saw Bayraktar UAVs during the Karabakh War.

“I hope other countries will be included in this project”

Halit Mirahmetoğlu, General Manager of Guhem, signed the protocol within the framework of the protocol of students in Guhem on the foundations of aviation and space, he said.

Mirahmetoğlu stated that Azerbaijan will frequently come to Türkiye for these trainings, said:

“We started with the programs we started with the Organization of Turkish States last year, as well as Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, we hosted many students from the sister countries.
