Trump was not enthusiastic about Israel’s attack in Qatar

Israel attacks the Hamas tip in Doha, six people are killed. The United States and Qatar condemn the procedure and warn of episodes for negotiations on a Gaza custody rest.
The United States has clearly criticized a surprise attack on the leadership of the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas in Qatar. “I am not enthusiastic about it,” said US President Donald Trump in Washington. The White House had previously announced that Trump regretted that the Gulf state had become the place of an Israeli attack on Hamas. The Republican sees Qatar as a narrow ally and friend of the United States. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council wants to deal with the attack today (9:00 p.m. CEST) in an urgency meeting.
Hamas described the attack in the Qatarian capital Doha as “failed”. No member of her negotiation team was killed, it said in a message from the Palestinian organization. However, six people died in the attack. Among them are the son of the high-ranking Hamas leader abroad, Chalil al-Haja, and his office manager.
Al-Haja is the highest Hamas leader abroad, who also leads the Hamas delegation for an ceasefire in the indirect negotiations with Israel. Al-Haja stayed in Qatar most of the time. Other higher Hamas officials abroad also mostly live in Qatar or in Turkey. Israel had recently threatened to attack Hamas leader abroad.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the air raid, in which, according to media reports, several fighter jets and drones were involved, “optimal and precise”. It was a reaction to the fatal attack of two Hamas members in Jerusalem, in which six people were killed on Monday, and a fatal Hamas attack on soldiers in the Gaza Strip.
“The days when terrorist leaders enjoyed immunity in any place in the world are over,” said Netanyahu. Israel’s enemies would have to know that Jews have no longer been delivered without defenseless since the state of Israel. The Israeli army broadcaster reported that the attack with the code name “Feuer summit” had taken the remaining leadership of the Islamist organization.
The spokesman for the Qatarian Foreign Ministry, Madschid al-Ansari, called reports that Qatar was informed before the attack, “completely wrong”. A US government agent called Katar at the moment when the explosions had already been heard. Al-Ansari thus contradicted a first US presentation. The US government spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Trump instructed his Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff to inform Qatar about the upcoming attack.
The US President later added to Truth Social in a post on his platform that Witkoff had informed Katar. But it was too late to stop the attack. When asked how he found out about the attack, the Republican said on Tuesday evening (local time) that he would make a complete explanation this Wednesday. “But I tell you the following: I was very unhappy about it. Very unhappy about every aspect.”
