Europe and the German federal government must now finally put a stop sign on him. He has long been planning to build his own triumphal arch in the heart of Washington. It can be assumed that Trump intends to be celebrated on July 4, 2026 like a Roman emperor – as ruler of a hemisphere that he defines. A national territory with new territories and kingdoms like Greenland.
Trump openly says that neither national nor international laws or rules can stop him. He only feels obliged to his own “morals”. Given such statements and the associated actions, it is shocking how quiet Europeans, but also Americans, still are. It’s as if a mixture of fear and numbness paralyzes any confidence in one’s own strength.
