The Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo reacts to the tariffs of the US government. Trump spreads further false news. All developments here.

On his social media channels, Donald Trump has published a picture of the 29-year-old Juan Ábrego, which is supposed to prove his belonging to the criminal gang MS-13. The photo shows several hand tattoos that, according to Trump, spell the “MS-13” gear. In his post, Trump writes: “Among other things, I was chosen to remove bad people from the United States. I have to be allowed to do my work. Make America Great Again!”

However, experts see Trump’s presentation critically. US media show photos of Ábrego’s hands on which there is no clear MS-13 lettering. Instead, the photo in question shows symbols like a marijuana leaf, a smiley and a cross. Some observers suspect a code behind this combination of symbols that stands for the MS-13 course. But this interpretation is speculative and not yet proven.

Trump’s contribution does not clarify. He neither mentions the questionable origin of the image nor the lack of evidence. The photo suggests a certainty that is not given according to the previous status – and thus becomes a misleading claim.

The Trump government’s pass policy for transgender and non-binary Americans violates the US constitution. This is decided by a US district court. The US district judge Julia Kobick in Boston issued an injunction with which the enforcement of pass policy was stopped against six transgender and non-binary people. According to the decree of US President Donald Trump, the United States only recognizes two genders, male or female.

The passport authorities now award passes “after the gender of an applicant found at birth”. Judge Kobick decided that this represented discrimination based on the gender of the applicants and arises from “hostility” towards transgender-Americans. “The decree and the according to the according to the according to the laws are based on irrational prejudices against transgender-Americans and therefore violate the constitutional obligation of our nation to protect the same protection for all Americans,” says the judge appointed by Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden. She ordered the change in the passport entries for the plaintiffs.

A Turkish doctoral student arrested at the Tufts University near Boston in the state of Massachusetts on the open street has achieved a success in court. After the arrest, she had been brought to a prison in Louisiana, 2,500 kilometers away in the state of Louisiana. Now a federal judge decided that it had to be brought back to Vermont by May 1, the broadcaster ABC and the newspaper “Boston Globe” reported. A deposit hearing should then take place there. The judge also spoke of “considerable constitutional concerns” in the case of arrest. Dispute between Musk and Trump’s finance minister

In pictures of a surveillance camera that were spread in US media, you could see how several men in dark civilian clothes, partly with hoodies, had approached the woman who came from the breaking of fasting. The frightened looking woman is surrounded and then dissipated.

The German carmakers are hit hard by the US tariffs. VW is now trying to negotiate with the Trump government. Read more about it here.

The truck manufacturer Volvo plans to discharge up to 800 employees at three US locations in the next three months. The reason for this is market uncertainties and worries about the tariffs of President Donald Trump, the spokesman for the Volvo Group North America said.

Locations in the states of Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland are affected. The commercial vehicle manufacturer, which belongs to the Swedish group from Volvo, claims to have almost 20,000 people in North America.
