The Trump government has published a goal when arresting illegal migrants. 3,000 people are now to be taken into custody every day. That would be a tripling of the goal that was issued at the beginning of the year. This would be more than a million people a year. The new target was sent by Stephen Miller, the deputy chief of staff of the White House, and Kristi Noem, the Secretary of the Ministry of Homeland Security (DHS), to the responsible persons of the immigration and customs authority in a tense meeting last week.
