US President Donald Trump has expressed doubts about whether his Republicans will be able to defend the majority in the House of Representatives in next year’s midterm elections. The Wall Street Journal reported this on Saturday, citing an interview with the president on Friday. Trump gave the reason that some of his economic policy measures had not yet had their full effect.

Asked whether Republicans would lose the majority in the House of Representatives in November, Trump said: “I can’t tell you. I don’t know when all the money will take effect.” There was initially no statement from the White House in response to a request from the Reuters news agency.

The AfD wants to deepen its contacts with Donald Trump’s US government and his Republican Party and invite US representatives to Berlin. During his trip to the USA, the deputy AfD parliamentary group leader and foreign policy spokesman, Markus Frohnmaier, announced a congress in February in the German capital, to which representatives of the US State Department, members of Congress and US lobby organizations would be invited. In the same month, the Munich Security Conference will take place in Germany. Read more about it here.

The Trump administration has accused the National Links Trust of violating the leases for Washington’s three municipal golf courses, East Potomac, Rock Creek and Langston. The letter, dated October 29, does not give reasons but sets a 45 day deadline after which National Links Trust could lose control. This would clear the way for President Donald Trump to redevelop the publicly used facilities himself, reports the Washington Post.
