The United States’ intervention in Iran is in the room – also because Donald Trump does not clearly comment. In one point, the US President praises Iranian leadership.

US President Donald Trump does not want to commit himself to a clear course with a view to Iran. “Nobody knows what I’m going to do,” said the Republican in front of the White House when asked if he was considering a US strike against Iranian nuclear systems. “I could do it. I couldn’t do it,” said Trump – and if so, he won’t announce it in advance.

US defense minister Pete Hegseth commented similarly. Before the Senate, he explained that he would not announce whether he presented President Donald Trump options for an attack on Iran. At the same time, he emphasized that the US military was to implement Trump’s decisions.

The US President repeated his demand for “unconditional surrender” to the journalists, but did not complete further negotiations. It wasn’t too late yet.

Tehran has “a lot of trouble,” said Trump. He complained that a solution could have been found earlier. It was “a big difference between now and a week ago,” emphasized Trump. When asked by journalists whether the Iranian leadership had contacted him, he replied with “yes”. The Iranian side even proposed to get to the White House, indicated Trump. “This is (…) brave, (…) it was not easy for her to do that,” he said.

The non -transparent course of Trump is also not undisputed in domestic policy. The minority leader in the US Senate, the Democrat Chuck Schumer, claimed the US president for a confidential briefing for the war between Iran and Israel. All 100 senators should be included, he says. He assumes that Trump will agree.

Iran’s spiritual head Ayatollah Ali Chamenei reacted to Trump’s threats and warned the United States about military intervention.
