Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced the turnover indices for January.
Accordingly, the total turnover index, which is free of seasons and calendar effect, increased by 1.6 percent on a monthly basis on the January.
Total turnover index of industry, construction, trade and service sectors, which are free of calendar effect, increased by 35.4 percent annually in the same month.
Industry and Construction Indexes
The turnover index, which is free from the calendar effect in the industry, rose to 25.6 percent on an annual basis in January. The industrial turnover index, which is free of seasonal and calendar effect, decreased by 0.2 percent in the month compared to the previous month.
The turnover index, which is free of calendar effect in the construction sector, increased by 54.2 percent on the same month on an annual basis and the construction turnover index, which was free of seasons and calendar effect, increased by 10.2 percent compared to the previous month.
Trade and Service Indexes
The trade turnover index, which is free of calendar effect, increased by 35.9 percent in January compared to the same month of the previous year, and the trade turnover index, which was free from seasonal and calendar effects, increased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous month.
The turnover index, which is free of calendar effect in the service sector, increased by 47.6 percent in January compared to the same month last year, and the service turnover index, which was free of seasonal and calendar effects, rose by 5 percent compared to the previous month.
