Central Registry Agency (MKK) reported that the total security value, which was 33.39 trillion lira at the end of January 31, 2026, decreased to 31.67 trillion lira at the end of March 31, 2026.
MKK announced the developments regarding the first quarter of 2026 with a video titled “Capital Markets 2026 Panorama as of the End of the 1st Quarter” published on its social media accounts.
Accordingly, the total security value, which was 33.39 trillion lira at the end of January 31, 2026, decreased to 31.67 trillion lira at the end of March 31, 2026. During the same period, the total number of investors increased from 38.1 million to 38.36 million.
The number of investors with a balance within the total number of investors reached 10.58 million. While the number of new investors who received a CRA registry number in the first quarter of the year was 411 thousand 732, the most new investors were individual men in the 21-40 age group with 115 thousand 103. The number of new female investors in the same age group was 93 thousand 355.
In the same period, while the total number of accounts increased from 90.81 million to 91.64 million, the number of accounts with balance decreased to 15.33 million. During this period, 13 companies were offered to the public. The amount collected from the public offering was 17.62 billion lira, and the total number of investors’ participation in the public offering was 10 million 439 thousand 545.
PORTFOLIO VALUE OF INVESTMENT FUNDS DECREASED TO 8.75 TRILLION LIRA
At the end of the first quarter, the portfolio value in stocks decreased to 19.66 trillion lira. The portfolio value in stocks was 20.62 trillion lira on January 31. During this period, the number of investors decreased to 6.43 million. During this period, while the portfolio value of investment funds decreased to 8.75 trillion lira, the number of investors increased to 5.81 million.
The State Domestic Debt Instruments portfolio value of a total of 33 thousand 86 individual and corporate investors reached 2.37 trillion liras.
In the same period, the nominal value of debt instruments issued by a total of 142 companies reached 379 billion 285 million 67 thousand 177. 52 of these companies were in the real sector, 42 were intermediary institutions, 36 were non-bank financial institutions, 11 were banks and one was a mortgage finance institution. The number of investors in the crowdfunding system was 46 thousand 600.
