Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that the Istanbul Toki draw will be held on April 25.
Minister Kurum said that up to 3 million TL support will be given to those who want to renovate the house.
Highlights from Minister Kurum’s statement are as follows:
I hereby announce from Ümraniye that our Istanbul has been included in the scope of the ‘Climate and Disaster Resilient Cities Project’ financed by the World Bank. And from today onwards, we are preparing a giant support package of up to 3 million lira for our citizens, starting from the houses that need to be transformed urgently. And I will share with you these three important points within this campaign.
First; While construction is ongoing, not a penny will come out of your pocket for a year. Our citizens who have undergone transformation within this scope will not make payments for a full year. In other words, my brother from Istanbul will finish his house in a year, settle in his home, drink his coffee, sit there in peace and then start making payments. Latter; Leave market conditions and everything else aside, we have arranged the time and opportunity for you. We offer a payment plan with a maturity of 180 months, that is, up to 15 years. And this payment plan is 0.69 per month, which means we will be with our nation with a historical ease whose annual cost is even below 10 percent.
You will never feel alone during the construction process. Here, our municipalities, governor, deputies and all units of our Ministry will stand by your side at all times. We gave our good news and as of now we are taking action. We will start accepting applications immediately today; “We will start preliminary investigations, information meetings and investigations within the framework of the demand.”
