Three Eastern Europeans arrested for espionage in Frankfurt

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office arrested a Ukrainian, an Armenian and a Russian on Wednesday. The arrested men are said to have worked for a foreign secret service in Germany. The Federal Prosecutor General reported this in a press release on Friday.

Specifically, the accused are said to have shadowed a Ukrainian living in Germany on behalf of a foreign secret service. On the day of the arrest, they are said to have observed a café in Frankfurt am Main where the Ukrainian was staying.

On Thursday, the accused were brought before the investigating judge of the Federal Court of Justice, who issued and executed the arrest warrants. The names of the accused were given as Robert A., Vardges I. and Arman S.
