Türkiye’s central government budget revenues were calculated as 1 trillion 86.2 billion liras and expenses as 1 trillion 384.4 billion liras in May.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the budget implementation results for May.

Accordingly, budget revenues in May decreased by 18 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, falling to 1 trillion 86 billion 168 million lira. Budget expenditures also increased by 27 percent, reaching 1 trillion 384 billion 391 million lira.

In the January-May period, budget revenues increased by 33.9 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 6 trillion 277 billion 714 million lira. Budget expenditures increased by 37.4 percent in the same period and reached 7 trillion 334 billion 713 million liras.

The central government budget had a deficit of 298 billion 223 million liras in May and 1 trillion 56 billion 999 million liras in the January-May period.
