The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced the workforce statistics for the October-December 2024 period.

The unemployment rate free of seasonal effect was 8.6 percent with a decrease of 0.1 points. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.2 points compared to the same period of 2023. Unemployment rate was expected to be 6.9 percent in men and 11.8 percent in women.
The unemployment rate, which was free of seasonal influence in the young population covering the 15-24 age group, was 16.1 percent with a decrease of 0.5 points compared to the previous quarter in the 4th quarter of the last year. The unemployment rate in this age group was estimated to be 12.6 percent for men and 22.5 percent in women.
