The Treasury borrowed 16 billion liras

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 15 billion 915.1 million liras with the bond auction held today.

The first issue of a fixed coupon government bond with a maturity of 5 years (1820 days), a coupon payment of 15 percent every 6 months was made at the tender. The simple interest in the tender was 31.02 percent and the compound interest was 33.42 percent.

In the tender where the nominal bid amounted to 16 billion 178.2 million liras, nominal sales were 9 billion 657 million liras and net sales were 9 billion 415.1 million liras.

In the tender where the entire 5 billion bid from the public was met, 2 billion 221 million lira bids were received from market makers and 1 billion 500 million lira worth of sales were made to this segment.

Thus, the Treasury became indebted to 15 billion 915.1 million lira.
