BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.12 percent increase at 12,389.72 points.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-oriented trend yesterday, finished the day at 12,374.26 points, losing 0.56 percent of its value.
The index rose to 12,389.72 points at the opening today, with an increase of 15.47 points and 0.12 percent compared to the previous closing. The banking index lost 0.18 percent and the holding index lost 0.53 percent.
Among the sector indices, the highest gain was forest paper printing with 0.96 percent, and the biggest decrease was financial leasing factoring with 6.30 percent.
While predictions in global markets that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may not tighten monetary policies as much as expected and optimism regarding company profitability continue to support risk appetite, the Fed’s meeting minutes are in the focus of investors today.
Meanwhile, FTSE Russell, which is part of the London Stock Exchange, did not include Türkiye on its watch list, while preserving the country’s “Advanced Emerging Market” status.

Analysts stated that the treasury cash balance in the country and the consumer inflation expectations in the USA and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes will be followed abroad today, and noted that technically, 12,500 and 12,600 points in the BIST 100 index are in a resistance position, while 12,200 and 12,100 points are in a support position.
