The stock market fell in the first half of the day

BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, dropped to 15,029.26 points as of 13:00, with a decrease of 10.99 points and 0.07 percent compared to the previous closing.

The total transaction volume was 96.8 billion lira. While the banking index lost 0.40 percent of its value, the holding index gained 0.61 percent.

Among the sector indices, the highest riser was informatics with 1.83 percent, and the biggest loser was securities investment trust with 2.37 percent.

While global markets continue to be shaped by news flows from the US-Iran front, investors focused on the non-farm employment data to be announced today in the US.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index completed the first half of the day with a negative trend, with profit sales following the record levels seen yesterday.

Analysts stated that the treasury cash balance in the country and non-agricultural employment data in the USA as well as the University of Michigan consumer confidence index and wholesale stocks will be followed abroad for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 14,900 and 14,800 points in the BIST 100 index are in the support position, while 15,100 and 15,200 points are in the resistance position.
