The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul lost 0.8 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 13,699.86 points.

The total transaction volume was 64.7 billion lira. While the banking index gained 0.22 percent in value, the holding index lost 2.25 percent in value.
In the sector indices, the highest increase was mining with 0.86 percent, and the highest decrease was trade with 2.64 percent.
In global markets, the strong balance sheet announced by Nvidia, the world’s largest chip manufacturer, and the fact that most of the revenue is obtained from the data center unit somewhat reduces the forward-looking question marks regarding the artificial intelligence theme, while all eyes are on the meeting between the US and Iranian delegations today.
According to domestic data, Türkiye’s exports decreased by 4 percent in January compared to the same month last year, reaching 20 billion 315 million dollars, while its imports increased by 0.1 percent, reaching 28 billion 695 million dollars. The economic confidence index increased by 1.4 percent on a monthly basis in February, reaching 100.7.
Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics in the country and unemployment benefit applications abroad in the USA will be followed for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 13,600 and 13,500 points in the BIST 100 index are support and 13,800 and 13,900 points are resistance.
