BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul lost 1.19 percent in the first half of the day and went down to 9.281.94 points.
The BIST 100 index, which moves in the first half of the day, fell to 9.281.94 points with 111.85 points and 1.19 percent decreased compared to the previous closing as of 13.00.
The total transaction volume was 43.4 billion pounds. The banking index depreciated 0.85 percent and the holding index depreciated by 1.64 percent.
While all of the sector indices lost value, the most lost was the construction with 3.93 percent.
New developments regarding the tariff tension between the US and China have increased risk perception in global markets. This situation caused sales in the share markets, while the eyes turned to the speech of Jerome Powell, President of the US Federal Reserve (FED), today.
Analysts, FED President Powell’ın statements and industrial production in the United States, as well as intensive data agenda will be followed, stating that the technical BIST 100 index 9,200 and 9.100 points in the support, 9.400 and 9.500 level is resistant, he said.
