US President Donald Trump plays down the data breakdown of his security experts as a “slip”. But there are doubts about the professionalism of his team.

US President Donald dismissed the accidental parts of attack plans of the US military in a chat group with a journalist as a “slip”. It was “the only slip in two months” for his government, which “was not difficult”, Trump said in an interview with the US broadcaster NBC on Tuesday. The national security advisor Michael Waltz, apparently responsible for the breakdown, “learned a lesson,” said Trump.

Trump’s spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt had shortly before in online service X that “no war plans” were discussed in the chat group and “no confidential information was exchanged”.

Waltz had invited the editor-in-chief of the magazine “The Atlantic”, Jeffrey Goldberg, to a group in the messenger service, in which Waltz, among other things, with Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance and Defense Minister Pete Hegseth exchanged information on the specific planning of an attack on the Yemeni Huthi-Miliz. Goldberg made the incident in an article on Monday.
