The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry made a statement regarding the purchase price of fresh tea for 2026. In the press release published by the Ministry, it was stated that the fresh tea harvest in 2025 was 1 million 340 thousand tons.
In the statement, it was reminded that ÇAYKUR purchased a total of 823 thousand tons of fresh tea from 49 aged tea factories in 2025, and it was stated that it is aimed to purchase the same amount on average in 2026.
It was announced that the purchase price of fresh tea, which was 25.44 lira per kilogram in 2025, was determined as 35 lira for 2026. In the Ministry’s statement, it was hoped that the new price would be beneficial and fruitful for producers.
