The exchange rate continues to rise after the holiday

After the 3-day holiday, exchange rates started to rise. The exchange rate, which rose from 32.50 TL to 32.80 TL yesterday morning, started at 32.86 TL today. Euro started from 35.25 TL.

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek flew to London for contacts. According to the news in Anadolu Agency, Şimşek will meet with portfolio investors, major global investment funds and credit rating agencies within the scope of the meetings organized by investment banks JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Dome Group.

Minister Şimşek once again emphasized disinflation. Minister Şimşek stated that Turkey is on the verge of a sharp decline in inflation and predicted that inflation will fall to tens next year and to single digits the following year.

All eyes in the market will be on the interest rate decision to be announced by the CBRT next week. The CBRT is expected to keep the policy rate constant at 50 percent.
