The amount of loans granted with treasury guarantee approached 1 trillion lira

As of February 6, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance provided guarantee support for 995 billion 78 million 927 thousand lira loans made available to businesses from exporters to manufacturers.

According to the Ministry’s compilation of data, in order to increase the access to financing of companies with insufficient collateral, all SME and non-SME companies are given the opportunity to support the Treasury-backed guarantee system. Manufacturers and exporters benefit from this opportunity.

The amount of credit provided within the scope of the system from 2009 to February 6 reached 995 billion 78 million 927 thousand lira. While the guarantee provided for these loans was 834 billion 182 million lira, the guarantee risk balance was calculated as 151 billion 730 million lira.

While the amount of commercial loans used by businesses within the scope of the system reached 953 billion 438 million liras, the guarantee for these loans was determined to be 800 billion 686 million liras. The guarantee risk balance of commercial loans was 151 billion 732 million lira.

When commercial loans are examined according to their types, business loans ranked first with 715 billion 886 million liras, followed by investment loans with 68 billion 143 million liras, and non-cash loans with 16 billion 656 million liras.

The number of commercial loans extended was recorded as 1 million 387 thousand 900.

HIGHEST SHARE BECOMES MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

When we look at the distribution of the guarantee amount provided for commercial loans by sectors, the manufacturing industry received the highest share with 45.31 percent. This was followed by wholesale and retail trade with 31.08 percent, motor vehicle services and personal and household products, construction with 8.77 percent, and transportation, storage and communication with 3.7 percent.

Meanwhile, in the said period, 504 billion 630 million liras of guarantee was provided to SMEs and 121 billion 727 million liras to non-SME businesses.
