Why now the risk of game accidents is increasing again

This is especially the most active time for deer. Foxes, raccoons, field hars and Co. are also on the road at dawn and also cross the traffic routes of the people. Wild changes can also be expected at dusk. The time is most dangerous from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The time change increases the risk of the coming weeks, but it is only one reason.
After the winter fasting period, herbivores are in particular being looking for food. So they move from their bedroom to the dining room, hunter Torsten Reinwald draws a comparison.
For example, deer take four to six cheeky breaks a day and also cross many streets when looking for food. The territory fights also begin at roebates. Seen in the year, most of the accidents with deer in April and May.
Anyone who has completed a full or partial comprehensive insurance can enjoy protection for damage to the car that caused hair deer such as deer and wild boars. This is indicated by the overall association of the German Insurance Industry (GDV). Birds, for example, are not included everywhere.
Some policies therefore offer protection for accidents with other or even all animals. Wild damage has no influence on the personal damage -free discount, according to the GDV.
Without comprehensive insurance, however, you stay at the expense after a game damage, only the vehicle liability insurance is not enough. According to the GDV, around 11 percent of drivers waived the protection of comprehensive insurance in 2023. According to a current message, the German car insurers counted over 280,000 game accidents with comprehensive cars in 2023. The average damage was 3,850 euros.
