Tesla sales in the EU declined

In the European Union (EU) countries, the decline in Tesla branded automobile sales continued in May, while the decline in this period reached 40.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

European Automobile Producers Association (ACEA) announced the new automobile registration data of European countries for the January-May period.

Accordingly, Tesla’s automobile sales, owned by US billionaire Elon Musk, continued to fall in EU countries.

Tesla sales, which was 14 thousand 682 units in May last year, fell by 40.5 percent in the same period of this year and went down to 8 thousand 729.

The share of the brand in the EU’s total new automobile sales in May fell from 1.6 percent to 0.9 percent.

Tesla’s sale in EU countries in January-May decreased by 45.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Tesla sales, which was 91 thousand 996 in EU countries in January-May period last year, remained at 50 thousand 413 levels in the same period of this year. During this period, the total share of the company in the EU market fell from 2 percent to 1.1 percent.

The EU member states, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member Switzerland, Norway and Iceland and the UK in the UK Tesla sales decreased by 27.9 percent to 13 thousand 863 compared to the same period last year, decreased by 37.1 percent in January-May 75 thousand 196 to 75 thousand 196.

Tesla’s sales in European countries have been nervous since the beginning of this year.
