BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.67 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 13,795.08 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 13,795.08 points as of 13:00, an increase of 91.95 points and 0.67 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 87.3 billion lira. While the banking index gained 0.59 percent, the holding index lost 1.14 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest increase was financial leasing factoring with 6.65 percent, and the biggest loss was informatics with 2.27 percent.
Although the selling pressure in technology stocks negatively affected the Asian stock markets, global markets followed a mixed course, with optimism about the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz between the USA and Iran and strong company balance sheets supporting the risk appetite in Europe, while the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a positive course, parallel to the European stock markets.
Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics in the country and unemployment benefit applications and wholesale stocks in the USA will be followed abroad for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 13,900 and 14,000 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance and 13,700 and 13,600 points are support.
