BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the week at 9,155.77 points with a 0.51 percent increase.
At the opening, BIST 100 index increased by 46.43 points and 0.51 percent compared to the previous closing, reaching 9,155.77 points.
The banking index gained 0.18 percent and the holding index gained 0.47 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was metal goods and machinery with 0.98 percent, and the one that lost the most was sports with 0.18 percent.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a buying-oriented trend on Friday, completed the day at 9,109.34 points with an increase of 2.37 percent.
Analysts stated that global markets had a positive start to the week, as expectations that the economy could make a “soft landing” in the country gained strength following the employment data announced last week in the USA.
Analysts stated that today the treasury cash balance in the country and retail sales in the Eurozone will be followed abroad, and noted that technically, the 9,200 and 9,300 levels in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and the 8,850 and 8,700 points are support.
