At the opening, BIST 100 index rose to 9,879.82 points, up 46.60 points and 0.47 percent compared to the previous close.
The banking index gained 0.57 percent and the holding index gained 0.21 percent. Among the sector indexes, the one that gained the most was tourism with 1.18 percent, while the only one that fell was securities investment trust with 0.05 percent.
Moving in an upward trend on Thursday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.78 percent increase in value at 9,833.22 points.
Analysts said global stock markets started the week cautiously, with a busy macroeconomic data calendar, particularly the US employment report.
While it is priced in that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will gradually ease its tight monetary policy starting this month, the magnitude of the steps to be taken by the end of the year remains uncertain.
